Coconut Macarons

Coconut Macarons

Tea for Two with these Coconut Macarons

Coconut Macarons, yes we call it macarons too in the Philippines. Its main ingredients are dried shredded coconut and condensed milk. It makes it sweet, dense and chewy on the inside. This Coconut macaron is always present on every occasion in the Philippines. Not only that it tastes great but also very simple and super quick to make. An afternoon delight for someone who has sweet tooth like me.

I may not really sure how this dessert evolved in the Philippines but I’ve been eating them since I was young. I have made them plenty of times on different a occasions and everyone loved them. It also becomes my kid’s favorite treats, that every time I bake these for them I had to lessen the amount of sugar or else they will be all “full of beans.”

Definitely a tea for two with these yummy coconut macarons, not only that it goes well with tea and coffee but with nice cold milk too.
