Moist Chocolate Cake

This is my moist Chocolate Cake recipe that I have been using to almost all of my cakes. It becomes so popular that most of my friends asked me how did I bake it. It’s so moist and smooth that it will melt in your mouth.

In this post, I will show you a step by step guide how to make a moist chocolate cake.

Step by step guide to making a Moist Chocolate Cake


Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a round baking pan. keep it a side

In a large bowl, sift the dry ingredients all together, sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Mix them until they are well combine.

Add in the eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract.

Using an electric mixer or a whisk, beat wet and dry ingredients together until they are incorporated.

When it reach to this consistency, you can pour in your boiling water. Your batter will become thinner this time.

Make sure to whisk your batter gently to avoid air bubbles. Batter will looks like this after mixing it with water.

Pour batter into the prepared greased and floured pan.

Bake to 35-40 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.

Let it rest for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack, then let it cool completely.
